We are working with a well-established, privately owned construction and cost consultancy renowned for its collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. They are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior team members, supporting them in pre- and post-contract duties across a range of sectors, including hospitality, leisure, education, residential, and commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills further while gaining exposure to various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the preparation of cost plans, tender documents, and financial statements
2. Carrying out measurements for Bills of Quantities/Schedules of Work
3. Conducting final account assessments and interim valuations
4. Supporting the assessment of cost variations to contracts
5. Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
About You:
1. Some knowledge of construction and an understanding of quantity surveying duties
2. Maths and English GCSE (Grade C/5 or above)
3. A relevant qualification that allows entry into a RICS-recognised construction degree course is desirable.
4. Strong organisational and communication skills
5. Eager to learn and develop within the construction industry
