An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of an apprentice technician team at our Chippenham Workshop, maintaining and repairing vehicles critical to ensuring our front-line crews are ready and able to treat our patients when they most need us.
We are seeking individuals to work within the Wiltshire area providing a 7-day Fleet & Equipment maintenance service, keeping our vehicles in excellent condition and on the road.

The role of the Intermediate Vehicle Technician provides an opportunity to work as part of a friendly professional team in a Fleet Workshop environment, ensuring that our vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. It also provides opportunities to develop your career within the Fleet and Equipment team or within the wider Trust in both patient-facing and a variety of support roles.
You will undertake supervised service, maintenance, and repair activities on motor vehicles and equipment while adhering to the Trust's and manufacturer’s scheduled times. You’ll effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilized in line with the Trust's and manufacturer's standards. You will help keep work areas clean, organized, and safe according to the Trust's health and safety policy. You will work towards the Trust's Values – One Team, Compassionate, Innovative.

Education and Qualifications
* Motor Vehicle Craft Studies Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
* Category C1 driving licence (held)
* Vehicle Inspectorate Inspector standard
Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)
* Experience in vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and maintenance for mechanical, electrical, body, and hydraulic systems
* Previous NHS ambulance experience
