Role Overview
The Data and Analytics Lead will play a crucial role, driving the data strategy and growing the analytics team and function. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in data analytics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and optimise digital strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the data and analytics function, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies to support digital marketing and development initiatives.
3. Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, data requirements, and challenges.
4. Design and oversee data collection, processing, and analysis frameworks.
5. Analyse data from multiple sources (web analytics, CRM systems, social media platforms, etc.) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
6. Create detailed and visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with digital marketing, UX/UI, CRO and development teams to integrate data insights into campaign and project strategies.
8. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and digital marketing.
9. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all data sources and analytics processes.
10. Mentor and train junior analysts, supporting their professional growth and development.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science).
2. 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within a digital agency or similar environment.
3. Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Contentsquare and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
4. Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with data processing tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
6. Proven track record of using data to drive decision-making and optimise digital strategies.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Experience with CRM systems, social media analytics, and SEO/PPC analytics is a plus.
10. Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to client meetings and our London office.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
1. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field.
2. Experience in a leadership or managerial role.
3. Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and channels.
4. Experience in web development analytics, CRO and user behaviour analysis.
5. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
