Tarmacking Highways Maintenance Operative
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm, optional overtime)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tarmacking Highways Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing highways, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our road networks. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
1. Perform tarmacking and resurfacing work on highways and other road networks.
2. Carry out routine and reactive maintenance duties to ensure roads and footways remain in optimal condition.
3. Operate and maintain equipment and machinery used in highways maintenance.
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
5. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
6. Communicate effectively with the public and other stakeholders as necessary.
7. Document and report any issues or defects identified during maintenance activities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in tarmacking and highways maintenance is essential.
2. Relevant qualifications in construction or highways maintenance are advantageous.
3. Proficiency in operating machinery and equipment used in road maintenance.
4. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
