About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking PE department at a well-established secondary school in Hatfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to inspire students, promote healthy living, and support the development of physical skills across all key stages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and fitness and will help students engage in physical activity, teamwork, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
-Promote the benefits of physical activity, health, and fitness through a variety of sports and physical activities.
-Encourage students to participate in both curricular and extracurricular PE activities.
-Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all students, ensuring inclusivity and supporting all levels of ability.
-Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and helping students set personal goals.
-Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, ensuring it is diverse, engaging, and relevant.
-Foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills in students through sport and physical activity.
-Lead and organize extracurricular activities, including sports clubs, teams, and school competitions.
-Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
About You:
-A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
-A passion for Physical Education and a commitment to encouraging students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
-Experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
-A positive and energetic approach to teaching, with a strong focus on student wellbeing and development.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities.
-A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
