About the Role:
As a School Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school's front office. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and parents, making your warm demeanour and professional attitude essential. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Welcoming Visitors: Greet parents, students, and visitors with a smile and assist them with inquiries.
2. Booking Meetings: Coordinate and schedule appointments for staff and parents, ensuring everyone stays on track.
3. Email Management: Handle incoming emails efficiently, responding to queries or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
4. Reception Area Maintenance: Keep the reception area tidy and inviting for all who enter.
5. Phone Communication: Answer and forward phone calls, providing information or taking messages as needed.
6. Post Management: Sort and distribute post to ensure important communications reach the right hands promptly.
7. Query Management: Address and manage queries from parents, ensuring they feel heard and supported.
8. Liaison Duties: Act as a key point of contact between parents and the school, fostering positive relationships and open communication.
What We're Looking For:
1. Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a school or educational setting.
2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
4. A cheerful and approachable personality, with a passion for helping others.
5. Proficiency in using office software and managing electronic communications.
