SPELLMAN HV ELECTRONICS JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Encapsulation Technician Function: Manufacturing Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager MAIN OBJECTIVES Responsible for the assembly of electro mechanical products including the encapsulation process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out all aspects of mechanical assembly work as part of the Encapsulation process including pouring, sealing, priming and conformal coating of assemblies. Carrying out routine checks, maintenance and cleaning of encapsulation machines, compressor, vacuum pump, maintenance and filter change of spray booth equipment all in accordance with procedures. Planning, progressing and co-ordinating workload in accordance with production schedule and other internal customers, such as repair and design departments. Raising production paperwork including non-compliance/rework records and stores requisitions in accordance with company processes. Ensuring all quality procedures for build and workmanship standards and ESD requirements are implemented. Maintaining and improving housekeeping and cleanliness of work area. Working on own initiative reading BOM’s and drawings etc. Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibility for adhering to the Company’s Quality ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management system requirements and the Health and Safety Management System. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE High voltage assembly techniques. Electronic component recognition. Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes. Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques. Good communication skills.
