Job Role: Trade Counter Operative
Salary: £25,200 and above (depending on experience)
Working hours: 42.5hrs/wk, Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays)
Location: Leicester

We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Trade Counter Operative on behalf of our client, a leading electrical wholesaler.
This is an incredible opportunity for somebody with experience working on a trade counter at a wholesalers to join a rapidly growing business that offers great pathways for career progression, training and development. Whilst previous experience on a trade counter is seen very favourably, it is not essential.
They are a strong believer in developing people from within, so if you want to build a career with one of the UK’s leading electrical wholesalers, then this is the job for you.
The Role:
1. Serve customers at the trade counter.
2. Communicate with customers on the phone or via email.
3. Learn the businesses products and services to effectively deal with customers and identify opportunities to upsell/cross sell.
4. Pick orders in the warehouse.
5. Help keep the branch clean, tidy and running smoothly with any other tasks that may need completing.
Skills & Experience Required:
6. Hardworking, ambitious attitude.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Full UK Driving Licence.
9. High standards in all aspects of work, from delivering great service to ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
10. Great team-worker, as you’ll be working with colleagues from all areas of the business.
11. Previous trade counter or electrical wholesale experience is seen favourably, but not essential. If you have the right attitude, they will give you the tools to succeed.
