Support Medical Secretary | Admin Assistant | Norwich | Full Time | 37.5 | £23,497.50 | Mon - Fri
Spire Norwich Hospital is looking to recruit a Support Medical Secretary to join their warm and friendly team on a full time basis.
You will be required to support the Medical Secretary team in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* The successful applicant will take direction from the medical secretaries for the day to day running of the service.
* You will have work delegated to you from the team and will be responsible for your own time management and workloads.
* Ensuring clinical letters are accurately typed.
* Sorting and distributing incoming/outgoing information in a timely manner.
* Liaise with the medical team and appointment departments to change, cancel or alter clinical commitments to contribute to the smooth running of the department.
* You will be responsible for communicating information, written and verbal with patients/staff.
* Handle telephone communications with sensitivity and confidentiality.
* Take minutes of meetings.
* Arrange meetings.
* Keep a filing system.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00

Who We're Looking For:
* Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
* Track record of successfully delivering a similar role, with experience in a wide range of administrative or secretarial duties.
* Previous experience in the medical sector is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
* A good typing speed.
