A great hybrid opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a reputable and growing accounting practice in Andover.
The company is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to join a very supportive and friendly team. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for clients, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the broader accounting practice.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate financial records by processing day-to-day transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries).
2. Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
3. Prepare VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
4. Preparation of CIS returns.
5. Manage prepayments and accruals.
6. Prepare and process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Requirements:
1. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
2. Accounting practice experience would be an advantage.
