My client is looking to recruit a Health, Safety, Environment, & Community Risk, Systems and Assurance Advisor on a permanent basis, reporting to the Head of HSEC. The successful candidate will ideally hold a NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma, a lead auditor qualification, and have experience developing and implementing HSEC Management systems within organisations. A working knowledge of Process Safety Management would be advantageous.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for applying, developing, and implementing existing health, safety, and environment management systems, current legislation, and best practice.
2. Support the Head of HSEC in implementing and maintaining the IMS documents and systems.
3. Implement the long-term HSEC management strategy in line with site and corporate standards.
4. Review and align corporate systems with BRM.
5. Maintain and carry out the internal audit programme to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
6. Be the point of contact for accreditation and certifications including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001.
7. Host internal and external audit activities and maintain relationships with the relevant legislative, certification, and registration bodies.
8. Support all departments with managing and improving their HSEC management capabilities.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have a proven track record of developing and implementing HSEC Management systems.
2. Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & MS Project).
3. Have the ability and willingness to take ownership and accept full accountability for their own actions.
4. Must have a “can do” attitude with the ability to motivate and develop team stakeholders.
5. Be a networker with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and deliver on Health & Safety and Environmental initiatives.
