Description A bit about the role The People and Culture Officer is the first point of contact for people and culture enquiries and plays a vital role in supporting the People and Culture department. Responsibilities preparation of employment contracts, support to onboarding and administrative activities. The role maintains electronic employee files, assists the payroll team with award interpretation, and provides guidance on employee entitlements and Fair Work compliance. In addition, the role involves performance management support, people and culture statistics, and involvement in projects. The People and Culture Officer works closely with Learning and Development to coordinate training and development initiatives and updates policies and procedures as needed. This position also includes managing the human resource information systems, completing month-end tasks, and supporting recruitment and overall human resource functions. The People and Culture team is made up of 8 amazing individuals who work in strong collaboration together. Tertiary qualification in human resources or another related discipline or relevant experience in a people and culture Experience with ELMO, Aurion or another HRIS is desirable Strong communication and well-developed interpersonal skills Advance level in Microsoft Suite and general computer skills Good time management and the ability to prioritise work demands; Ability to work independently and as part of the Corporate Services team; Strong attention to accuracy and detail, including high-level writing skills; Strong client focus and desire to be a part of a service organisation Ability to obtain a police check with no disclosable outcomes and Blue Card.
