About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Orion programme team on a fixed term contract as a Finance Process Manager. We are looking for someone to join us on the most significant transformation programme undertaken by the Company in recent years, and the biggest change activity that we have committed to delivering in the next three years.
As a key member of the programme team, and reporting to the Senior Manager - Finance Processes, the Finance Process Manager is one of a number of full-time roles working exclusively on the S/4HAHA program. Bringing their expertise and knowledge from a background in finance, the Finance Process Manager will work alongside a diverse team of Finance, IT and other process experts to support with the design, build through to testing and go-live/hypercare.
Previous project experience is not required; you will receive plenty of guidance and with the support of the Director of Business Technology Transformation and Senior Manager - Finance Processes and will partner with functional and system experts throughout the programme who will provide support and expertise as required.
This high-profile role provides exposure to a wide range of Finance, IT and other colleagues and process experts across all levels, along with experience of new areas both within finance and across the wider business whilst gaining valuable project/programme experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage virtual network team of process analysts and subject matter experts.
* Identification of expertise and resource requirements and potential gaps within project teams and processes, drawing on your wider network to ensure the right people are involved at the right time.
* Responsible for providing guidance and input to other activities including data conversion and cleansing, reporting remediation, testing, training, and deployment planning.
* Design and support UAT scenarios and execution to confirm the integrity of your end-to-end process design.
* Awareness of the impact of the programme across the business and teams, and leading/supporting engagement across the business/Finance teams.
* Liaison with on and offshore colleagues/process owners.
* Continued engagement and support of Process Owner network post deployment.
What you'll need to have
* Qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Strong knowledge and experience of financial reporting and consolidation systems, including statutory (local) and US GAAP reporting; Cognos and SAP experience an advantage.
* Willing to challenge, ability to spot potential errors and identify areas of focus/challenge within processes and systems.
* Ability to explain complex financial issues to those with a non-finance background, and build strong relationships with senior business partners across the business.
* Ability to build and grow existing networks across the business, with the ability to identify areas where further support is required.
* Appreciation of US SOX controls environment, and an understanding of system controls.
* Deep process knowledge in area of expertise.
