We're looking for an experienced Cost Manager to work within theprogramme management function, working across a number of projects, technologies and activities in support of MTC clients within the defence sector.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Developing and managing project budgets and forecasts.
2. Monitoring costs and expenses.
3. Highlighting variances and challenging discrepancies to ensure budgets stay within contractual constraints.
4. Working in collaboration with Project teams to provide cost-related insights and support throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Using historical data and trend analysis to review and interpret cost information for effective decision making by leadership.
6. Manage subcontract cost data and applications for payment as part of the project cost structure.
7. Submit applications for payment to the customer in line with customer deadlines.
8. Create forecasts to submit to the customer in line with customer deadlines.
9. Create and submit any cost applications associated with additional work that has been requested by the customer.
10. Create and maintain the schedule of cost components (SCC) for NEC contracts.
11. Submit weekly reports to the customer (hours and timesheets).
12. Create and maintain monthly commercial reports for the customer.
