Your new role
As an Electrician, you will be carrying out fault-finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties. You will be site-based covering parts of Somerset, Dorset, and Wiltshire. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 39 hours plus out of hours on call. On-call is 1 in every 3 to 4 weeks, £100 standby with £50 per job completed.
Works include but are not limited to:
1. Repairing MCB - circuit breakers
2. Small electrical repairs
3. Switches
4. Re-certification
5. Certificating all works
Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily, you will be trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively, always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes. Following Health and Safety policies and standards is essential. This role will require a DBS check. A full UK driving licence is required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Electrician who possesses a City & Guilds 2391 qualification. You will also need to have the 18th Edition with a desirable understanding of amendment 2. NICEIC registration is preferable. You will need to be a confident driver with a Full UK driving licence as travel is involved with this position. It is equally important to take responsibility and use your initiative to identify solutions and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner, delivering customer satisfaction. This role will also require a DBS check.
