We are looking for a band 7 Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist to work with young people with eating disorders (including ARFID) and co-morbidities in a community out-patient setting.
You will be joining an established and friendly community child and adolescent eating disorders service split between our satellite Aldershot clinic and our Epsom base. We are a high performing, dynamic and supportive team that meets and surpasses our local and national clinical targets, while ensuring we put the young people and families at the heart of what we do. The Service is CARE Excellence Accredited and comprises of a Service Manager, Psychiatrists, Specialist GPs, Paediatrician, Nurses, Dietitians, and a large team of Psychological therapists including Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, CBT Therapists, trainees, and assistants, with excellent administrative support. Excellent and robust supervision is in place (managerial and clinical) and reflective team practice.

The service currently operates Monday - Friday (flexibly between 8am-6pm).

Main duties of the job
You will provide initial assessments of people, deliver the initial treatment pathway, and provide specialist psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions in line with evidence-based treatment protocols at individual and group levels. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews and be involved in the development and implementation of care plans. There will be opportunities for teaching, supervision, and consultation within the team, as well as additional training. You will participate in service-related activities including research, service evaluation, and audit activities, and have the opportunity to lead on projects in line with service needs to fully develop your skills.
A strong interest in working with Eating Disorders is essential, and experience of working with young people with eating disorders is desirable (though not essential). You should have knowledge, interest, and skills in the clinical delivery of CBT and/or Family Interventions and be happy to travel at times.
