Job Description: 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor
Salary: 90k +/- DOE

Supervise all functions pertaining to facilities maintenance, including preventive maintenance programs, repairs to the building, property, and all material handling equipment. Oversee maintenance G&A expense for all budgeted items in the Maintenance and Repair accounts. Review and recommend changes to existing material handling equipment and all proposed construction projects. Responsible for timeline compliance and quality of work for external construction projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee the maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems. Enforce proper turn time of preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure timely response to critical equipment downtime issues in the distribution center.
2. Train/develop maintenance personnel; ensure skill sets meet minimum requirements of job function.
3. Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to its full capability.
4. Interact with outside vendors to coordinate all construction projects related to the facility, property, and equipment. Validate quality work and compliance with all safety standards.
5. Oversee the required back stock of maintenance spare parts and supplies while minimizing inventory levels through strong supplier partnerships.
6. Ensure contractual compliance for landscape, mat rental, pest control, snow removal, waste management, and fire system maintenance accounts.
7. Maintain an active partnership with the safety committee to address all safety issues on the property.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. 8-10 years maintenance experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
2. 2+ years of supervisory experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
3. Technically proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
4. Ability to review and critique schematic diagrams.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of CMMS.
6. Knowledge of 5-S practices.
7. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
8. Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
9. Awareness of state/local regulations and code requirements.
10. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written).
11. Strong organizational skills.
12. Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires the ability to work in a warehouse environment on a concrete floor all day. Requires continuous standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance are necessary. Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires full-time in-office presence for team interaction, meetings, collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
