Service & Installation Engineer - £35,000 - £37,500 - plus travel allowances and expenses covered, 25 days holiday + bank holidays increasing with service, death in service benefit of 4x salary, salary sacrifice pension scheme and share incentive plan.

You will be joining a leading manufacturer of a range of niche instrumentation for specialised applications as a Service & Installation Engineer and be part of their service and installation team based at their head office in East Grinstead, West Sussex.
You will be expected to travel internationally 25-50% of the time. Duties will include:
1. Final test of instruments post-production including both electrical and mechanical inspection and overall performance of the instruments and software.
2. Performing on-site installation, training, and customer demonstrations on delivered instruments.
3. On-site and back to base maintenance.
4. Emergency service.
5. Hardware and software upgrades.
6. Providing both telephone and email technical support to customers.
You will be qualified to HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering and have at least 12 months commercial experience within a test engineering, inspection, assembly, service engineering, or support capacity. You should have some understanding of temperature control, electrical wiring, and instrumentation, and be looking for a customer-facing role with the opportunity to travel.
If you have previous experience of working on or supporting vacuum equipment, simulators, or industrial/scientific instrumentation, this would be an advantage, though not essential.
All candidates will receive 3-6 months product training, must possess a full UK driving licence as well as a current passport, and be willing to travel when required.
