Head of Transition and Service Design - Technology - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £90,336, including allowances of £2,928. The salary breakdown is £87,408 basic, increasing annually to £96,341, plus a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Job Summary
The Head of Transition and Service Design will lead a team dedicated to designing end-to-end service journeys, ensuring users achieve their goals and CTP policies are implemented through complex technical solutions. Responsibilities include creating or modifying transactions, products, and content across digital and offline channels, collaborating with various CTP HQ and partner organizations.
The role involves working flexibly on IT solutions within the DDaT and Change portfolios, overseeing multiple programs/projects, and collaborating with partner agencies on service design and transition activities.
The post requires close collaboration with senior leadership, including Heads of Delivery, ICT, and other unit heads, and demands an expert practitioner capable of defining best practices, influencing, leading, and mentoring others.
Key responsibilities include influencing design and organizational strategy, collaborating across government, ensuring effective working conditions for designers, and managing resources for service transition. The post holder will manage Service Design and Transition SMEs and work within a matrix management model.
