Job Title: Design Manager, Infrastructure
Location: Norwich
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to oversee and coordinate design activities across key infrastructure projects in Norwich. You'll ensure all designs meet safety, efficiency, and compliance standards from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead design coordination and ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
2. Manage NEC4 Professional Service Contracts and support the Project Lead on design matters.
3. Develop and maintain Design Management Plans, BIM Execution Plans, and key project documentation.
4. Coordinate design reviews and stakeholder input, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
5. Oversee the integration of construction methodology into design, monitoring design performance, and ensuring smooth project delivery.
6. Manage and mentor support staff, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Experience as a Design Manager/Coordinator or Engineer in infrastructure projects.
3. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
4. Progression toward or membership in the Institution of Civil Engineers (preferred).
