The Role
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be driving the correct culture to ensure people go about their day job safely and return home to their families. If you're passionate about shaping and driving a strong health and safety culture, this role provides the perfect opportunity to make a real impact.
Key aspects of this role include:
1. Controlling Health and Safety site compliance with regulatory and industry obligations
2. Leading performance metrics
3. Implementing risk reduction programmes
4. Handling major compliance incidents and liaising with government and regulatory bodies
5. Developing and maintaining site management systems, procedures, and audit programmes to minimise risks and ensure ongoing compliance with legislative requirements
About You
These qualifications aren't a necessity but would be very beneficial to have:
1. Solid experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
2. Proven experience in delivering certified training programmes
3. Strong leadership and presentation skills
4. Ability to influence at all levels
5. IOSH membership, with Chartered status (CMIOSH) or the ability to achieve it
