YOUR ROLE
Our CEVA Showfreight team are an award-winning, specialist logistics service for the exhibition and wider events sector.
Based at our Birmingham NEC operation, you will be responsible for various medium to large events and exhibitions across the UK and overseas, therefore we require someone who has a flexible approach to travel, nights away, and working hours.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The role includes full management of logistical services which include site handling, customs clearance procedures, multimodal shipping, road-shows, and traffic management, with overall site management and health and safety procedures for domestic and overseas events.
As well as site-based event and exhibition management, you will be responsible for revenue growth of Showfreight and CEVA business through the achievement of new business wins and the expansion of existing clients through effective propositions, account management, operational excellence, innovative and cost-effective solution design, and a professional sales approach. You will build effective working partnerships with internal senior management teams to secure contract development, renewals, and negotiating commercial terms, assisting in the achievement of budgeted sector targets, cost efficiency, and the delivery of excellent operational solutions to customers and their agents.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in national and international exhibitions and events with new business development or account management experience. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a 3PL, freight forwarding, or supply chain and logistics environment. It is essential to have knowledge of the exhibition industry and an understanding of international logistics movements. Ideally, you will understand worldwide shipping, including shipping restrictions and compliance.
Within this role, there will be a considerable amount of time spent away from home assisting with events, exhibitions, and projects; therefore, flexibility and dedication are required. Candidates must be able to travel within and outside of the UK, therefore a valid passport and UK driving license are required.
