Job overview
To provide a comprehensive Medical Photography, Teledermatology and Ophthalmic Imaging service to the Trust working as a member of a team within the Medical Photography Department of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT).
The post holder will provide a range of photographic skills to aid in diagnostics, referral, clinical management and education, whilst working alongside a variety of multidisciplinary teams. These include use of specialist techniques such as teledermatology, ophthalmic imaging, dental and surgical photography.
The post holder will provide a high quality non-clinical corporate and commercial photographic service for the Trust when required.

Main duties of the job
To carry out clinical and specialist photographic techniques, in line with departmental protocols, to produce materials for use in patient monitoring and recording, support of teaching and research and illustration of medical publications within the GHNHSFT.
To provide a comprehensive teledermatology service undertaking lesion photography with the use of a dermoscope.
To carry out a high standard of non-clinical/ PR photography in support of public relations, teaching, and research activities of GHNHSFT.
To provide a comprehensive Ophthalmic Imaging service, undertaking: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus photography, auto-fluorescence, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), Indo-Cyanine Green Angiography (ICGA) in support of a range of Ophthalmology clinics.
Be registered and practice within the terms of the Academy for Healthcare Science’s Standards Expected of a Registered Medical Illustrator and the Institute of Medical Illustrator’s Code of Professional Conduct for Professional Members and follow local policies and standard operating procedures.
