In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and spend a majority of your time "hands-on" in the development and implementation of programs used on CNC machine tools, including many varied manufacturing processes.

As the CNC Programmer, your key duties will include:
1. Using various CAM packages including SmartCAM and GibbsCAM to create, implement, and maintain programs for various manufacturing processes.
2. Being actively involved on the factory floor to ensure programs are suitable for manufacturing operations.
3. Using ProEngineer to interrogate models and produce programs for complex machined profiles on milling, turning, and turn/mill machines.
4. Managing the development of programs and methodologies for various manufacturing processes using specific and bespoke software.
5. Ensuring all routings are accurate, simple to understand, and up to date, routed cost-effectively.
6. Undertaking estimating of product costs for sales and assisting with compiling machining time for quoting for new work.
Ideally, you will have the ability to understand various machine and process protocols (ideally Fanuc, Okuma, Mazak, Mitsubishi, etc.) and can validate generated software programs. You will be working from start to finish with the product and have served a practical engineering apprenticeship.
