Managed Services Sales is a specialist sales function that is accountable for leading the sales effort and securing and growing our services revenues and contract base. As Customer Solutions Architects, we apply our experience and knowledge to understand and shape the solution based on the customer's strategy and Computacenter's strengths.
We engage with customers ahead of and during a formal sales cycle to understand, influence, and shape the outcome to position Computacenter as a partner of choice. We share the knowledge gathered during these engagements to inform our solutions and ensure our capabilities remain relevant going forward.
We do this in order to increase the win rate of our annuity services and maximize the opportunity to also grow our Professional and Technology Sourcing services.
What you'll do
1. Be the technical solution lead during pre-sales and Managed Services sales campaigns.
2. Ability to articulate Computacenter Managed Services strategy and Vision to C-Suite customers.
3. Act as the Client technical authority for engaging relevant Managed Service technical personnel.
4. Lead Managed Service technical point of contact for technical governance.
5. Ensure Technical leaders are following standards and processes.
6. Work with the technical teams to ensure they are focused on the efficient delivery of technical services inside and outside of contractual requirements.
7. Highlight Managed Service technical risks so that any Computacenter exposure to commercial loss can be minimized.
8. Undertake knowledge transfer of the client environment to Managed Service Technical Service teams.
9. Attend Customer opportunity/strategy meetings.
10. Work with the Account team and Service managers on the account to identify opportunities.
11. Aware of new emerging technologies and Industry trends and how they might benefit the client and technical Service provision.
What you'll need
1. 10+ years of IT experience – technical solutions experience and Managed Services.
2. Broad understanding of the IT Services Market, technical trends, and competition.
3. Excellent understanding of Computacenter market strategy and Services portfolio as well as in-depth understanding of end-to-end infrastructure managed services, ideally with a shared services component.
4. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present at large internal and external audiences.
5. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels and to influence sales team and customer through sound and well-structured thought processes supported where necessary with articulate and concise written work.
6. Experience of sales processes including bidding, deal structures, negotiation, and closures.
7. Understanding of contracts and service contract structures for clients and external partners.
8. Good working knowledge of relevant commercial tools and systems e.g. cost & pricing tools, maintenance & logistics, resource planning, and project planning.
9. Ability to analyze situations and make decisions based on limited information and prioritize effectively.
10. Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize own workload.
11. Experience of working within more than one market sector.
12. Ability to design complex multi-technology solutions.
13. Ability to present at Board level.
14. An understanding of Computacenter's service offerings and professional service propositions.
