Electronics Engineering Trials Lead | Hybrid
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineering Trials Lead to join a growing company within the defence sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that electronic and electro-mechanical sub-systems in the development phase are rigorously tested and verified against required environmental conditions. You will translate verification plans and requirements into structured trial instructions, oversee test execution, and deliver high-quality trial reports to support critical certification activities.You will collaborate with safety, quality, and security specialists to uphold strict compliance and industry best practices, ensuring designs meet the necessary standards before production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop structured trial instructions and oversee test execution.
* Conduct field and lab trials to verify electronic and electro-mechanical sub-systems.
* Ensure compliance with mechanical, climatic, and EMC environmental standards.
* Work closely with safety, quality, and security teams to ensure best practices.
* Produce high-quality test reports to support certification activities.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
* Knowledge of EMC and RF testing.
* Familiarity with actuator and radio technologies.
* Experience in conducting trials and testing hardware in mechanical, climatic, and EMC environments.
* Ability to interpret specifications, design documents, and safety sheets.
* Awareness of quality control processes and handling ESD-sensitive devices.
SC Clearance is required for this role.
