We have recently been awarded funding from the Church of Englands Racial Justice Unit to enable us to:
* roll out our Shades diversity and anti-racism programme for young people in our schools and parishes across the diocese.
* provide direct support for our Global Majority Heritage congregations.
* focus on development and training for our clergy and lay leaders, enabling our parishes to welcome people from all backgrounds.
* award grants for innovative local parish projects.
As well as having oversight of this exciting programme, the Racial Justice Programme Lead will engage with lay and ordained leaders across Manchester Diocese to ensure that we prioritise our work on racial justice and anti-racism.
