Our client, a leading children's hospice in Barnet, North London, is seeking a dedicated Senior Children's Nurse (Band 6) to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary up to £49,976, depending on experience. You'll also enjoy a generous joining bonus of £5,000 over three years, with an initial £500 on appointment. Our client is a well-respected children's hospice that provides specialist care and nursing for babies, children, and young people with complex medical needs. As a Senior Children's Nurse, you will:
* Provide direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers.
* Deliver high-quality patient care in the hospice, children's homes, or community settings.
* Plan and review care in collaboration with families to ensure safety and advocacy.
* Ensure fun, sensitivity, and compassion are integral to the care provided.
* Administer medications and maintain the nutritional status of all children.
* Participate in governance activities, including incident reporting and resource management.
* Offer training and development opportunities to staff and family members.

The ideal Senior Children's Nurse candidate will have:
* Registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch).
* Relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level.
* Experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions.
* Excellent clinical, communication, and mentoring skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
