Job Description: Leonardo have a fantastic new opportunity for an Integrated Circuit (IC) Layout Engineer. We design and manufacture world class infrared imaging products for use in remote sensing and thermal imaging applications including earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems and laboratory equipment. About the Role This role is within our mixed-signal IC design team, where you will work at transistor, cell or block level you will translate schematic desings into layout quickly and accurately to achieve the specification and project schedule. Key responsibility areas; To work to design specifications Clear understanding and implementation of Layout best practices Ability to complete bespoke analogue, digital and mixed signal layout designs To complete DRC and LVS at transistor and block level design Automatic place and route and/or synthesis layout experience beneficial Top Level layout implementation and verification experience is beneficial Image Sensor/Pixel Design experience is beneficial Advanced node ( About You Successful Candidates will have; Proven experience as an Integrated Circuit (IC) Layout Engineer working with CMOS (Readout ICs or imaging devices experience advantageous). Strong analogue / mixed signal and digital IC Layout skills based on formal qualifications and experience gained from working on complex IC designs. Layout of block level designs from scratch, working on schematic capture and simulation of the designs. Some experience in top level verification Used the Cadence IC design suite of tools. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team Experience leading more junior members of the team Experience with stitched designs beneficial Experience with parasitic extraction and evaluation beneficial All successful applicants must be eligible for full security clearance and access to UK-caveated and ITAR controlled information.
