Role Overview: As the Commercial Managing Director (MD) at Crunch, you will be the driving force behind our business growth, bringing both vision and execution to our ambitious plans.
Your deep connections within the recruitment industry and your ability to build and nurture high-value relationships will be critical to establishing Crunch as a go-to partner for modern recruitment advertising.
With a hunger for growth, you will spearhead new business development, identify strategic opportunities, and shape the commercial direction of the agency.
In this leadership role, you will not only oversee the commercial aspects of the business but also work closely with the Strategy Director and Client Director to ensure that our innovative digital media solutions meet the evolving needs of the recruitment market. Your ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining a sharp focus on client satisfaction will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commercial Strategy and Leadership: Define and execute the commercial strategy for Crunch, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion, and strengthening our position as a category challenger in the recruitment media industry.
• New Business Development: Take charge of growing Crunch’s client base by leveraging your extensive network in the recruitment industry. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, building long-term relationships with high-value clients who are seeking innovative recruitment advertising solutions. Take a lead role in sales and marketing strategy and delivery.
• Client Relationship Management: Be a trusted partner to clients by offering strategic advice and, in partnership with the Strategy Director, deliver tailored solutions that help them transition from traditional job boards to more effective, data-driven recruitment methods.
• Partnerships and Networking: Utilise your well-established recruitment industry connections to create strategic partnerships that open new avenues for business growth. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to raise Crunch’s profile and promote our unique offerings.
• Leadership and Team Development: Lead the Senior Management Team (SMT) with passion and purpose, inspiring them to meet ambitious targets and ensuring alignment with the company’s growth goals. Collaborate with the Strategy Director and Client Director to ensure seamless delivery of client campaigns and satisfaction.
• Market Insight and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and client challenges, using this insight to refine Crunch’s offerings and position the company as a leader in recruitment advertising. Ensure Crunch’s solutions are responsive to the market's evolving demands, helping clients attract high-quality candidates through cutting-edge strategies.
• Profitability and Financial Oversight: Take responsibility for commercial performance, including revenue generation, profitability, and client retention. Work closely with the finance team to set and meet financial targets, ensuring sustainable and scalable growth for Crunch.
• Brand Advocacy and Growth Mindset: Be an ambassador for Crunch’s challenger brand, embodying our values of innovation, creativity, and client-first thinking. Continuously seek out ways to grow the business and drive client success.
Key Requirements:
• Well-Connected in the Recruitment Industry: A strong and well-established network within the recruitment and talent acquisition space, with a proven track record of winning new business and maintaining high-level relationships.
• Commercial Expertise: Significant experience in a commercial leadership role, with a focus on driving business growth, profitability, and market expansion. Experience in the recruitment or recruitment media industry is highly preferred.
