Responsibilities:
1. Providing leadership and support for care staff and acting as a champion for clients’ safety and dignity.
2. Supporting the RM to run the workplace, including covering in their absence and ensuring standards of care are maintained.
3. Ensuring the service safely plans staffing levels and complies with legislation and regulatory requirements.
4. Undertaking care assessments of people needing care and support, as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others.
5. Helping the service to recruit and develop new care workers, supporting, supervising, and performance managing them.
6. Ordering and auditing medication.
7. Direct management of Team Leaders and support staff across multiple sites.
8. Providing supervision, coaching, performance management, and support to staff, volunteers, and students on placement.
9. Ensuring effective deployment of staff to meet individual needs and preferences.
10. Assisting the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
11. Developing and implementing personalised care plans, focusing on their unique requirements and preferences.
12. Supervising and supporting staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
13. Conducting regular assessments of clients' needs, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in health or wellbeing.
14. Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
15. Maintaining accurate records of client activities, incidents, and staff performance.
16. Promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion throughout the Service.

12. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation.
13. Empathy and compassion towards individuals requiring services.
