Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a leading automotive distributor based in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland who are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an individual with procurement experience to join a growing team with huge potential to progress. You will be assisting the Purchasing Manager and contributing to efficient procurement processes. Responsibilities- Work on multiple computer systems to complete a wide range of tasks, including data input Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders both orally and in writing Handle complex data with attention to detail and accuracy Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory, ensuring data is easily accessible Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department Any other duties as required by the Purchasing Manager. Skills required- You will be an experienced administrator who has worked within a busy office environment Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role within procurement · Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build productive relationships with suppliers Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication, organisational and time management skills You will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word) Strong attention to detail and data management skills Naturally you will have a positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges.
