Wembley Park Montessori is recruiting for an experienced Baby Unit Manager to join their busy, yet warm and friendly nursery of 36 places.
This role is full time, working 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm, offering at least one half day per week.
Salary: £24,960 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children placed in your care.
* Work as part of a team to meet all legal and curriculum requirements in line with Inspire Montessori Schools policies and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
* Plan activities to create a stimulating environment that meets the individual needs of children.
* Undertake training in Health and Safety as necessary.
* Follow codes of safe working practices for both children and staff.
* Report any concerns regarding the well-being and safeguarding of children.
* Co-ordinate and carry out planning and prioritizing of activities in the room.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure the nursery is serviced to the highest standards.
* Attend and participate in staff meetings and training.
* Build effective relationships with parents and ensure their children's needs are met.
* Implement, co-ordinate, and supervise suitable activities.
* Assist with the resolution of issues/queries/complaints within the room.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.
What We Would Ask From You:
* A minimum of Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma is essential.
* Previous experience of leading a Room in a nursery setting with children under the age of 5 is essential.
* Previous experience of working in a Montessori setting is desired but not essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good ICT skills.
* A current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential.
