A ofsted Good primary school in Sandwell is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support or assist in small groups, ensuring pupils receive tailored educational assistance.
* Support children with various needs, including ADHD, Autism, ASD, learning difficulties, and challenging behavior.
* Work closely with classroom teachers and SEN coordinators to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods as needed.
* Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment to enhance students' social, emotional, and educational development.
* Monitor and report on the progress of students, ensuring any issues are promptly addressed.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year of experience working in an SEN role within UK schools.
* Proven experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism, ASD, challenging behavior, and learning difficulties.
* Relevant qualifications in teaching assistance or child support (desirable but not mandatory).
* Strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting young learners
