Overview of role
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: £36,900.48
Shifts: 45 hours. Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00, with every third week call out cover.
We have a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) Technician (Mechanic) to join our team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. You will carry out safe and efficient inspections, services and repairs of all vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures.
You’ll be customer focused with good interpersonal and communication skills. Ideally, you’ll hold an HGV Licence; however, we are keen to train candidates that closely match our values.
Our Vehicle Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) provide a crucial service in a heavily audited and busy environment. A genuine enthusiasm for vehicle maintenance, coupled with a collaborative and logical approach is essential.
