Job Summary

We are recruiting for an Assistant Catering Supervisor to manage the school kitchen establishment alongside the Catering Supervisor. The candidate should be a team player, hard-working, organised, creative, and passionate about customer service. Previous experience in a similar role is required as you would be responsible for the management of staff, not only onsite but in spoke units also. The candidate should be able to work in a high-pressure, high-turnover environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility regarding start and finish times, to suit the needs of the service, would be desirable. This post is 52 weeks. Start date is subject to PVG and Occupational Health Checks.
PVG (Children)
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following commencement of employment.
