This is a full-time on-site role for an IT System Engineer at S.H. Pratt & Co. The IT System Engineer will be responsible for:
* ERP Support: Support our ERP systems, handling maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization. You’ll manage user access, resolve system issues, and collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth and effective operations.
* Systems Administration: Oversee servers, desktops, and essential IT systems. Responsibilities include installing and configuring system software, managing user accounts, and maintaining a secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure.
* Network Administration: Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure secure data transmission.
* IT Documentation: Create detailed documentation, from system configurations to troubleshooting procedures, ensuring future reference and streamlined audits.
* Project Support: Participate in IT projects—system migrations, hardware upgrades, network expansions—and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that drive business success.
* End-User Training: Offer training on IT systems and best practices, helping staff minimize risks and become confident tech users.
* Compliance and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry standards like GDPR and ISO, continuously enhancing our systems to reflect best practices and regulatory compliance.
* On-Call Support: Be available for limited on-call support to ensure IT continuity outside normal hours.
What We’re Looking For
* Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems (Rubicon, IFS) and strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment, Windows, and VMware technologies.
* Detail-Oriented & Organized: Able to manage tasks under pressure, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
* Team-Oriented with Initiative: Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
* Driver's License and Car Access: Flexibility for occasional on-site work across locations. Nice to Have.
* Database Knowledge: SQL database experience is a plus.
* Cloud Proficiency: Experience with AWS and Azure is an advantage.
* Cybersecurity Awareness: Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and best practices is beneficial.
