Maintenance Engineer
Location: Barnsley
Shifts: Panamas
Salary: £45,000 plus overtime and training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a large global business based in Barnsley. Our client specializes in fast-moving goods and has grown significantly over the past ten years, continuing as a market leader across the UK and Europe with a turnover of £2 billion and over 10,000 employees in the UK.

Responsibilities:
1. Reducing equipment breakdown duration and frequency of breakdowns.
2. Carrying out basic fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on the automated production line equipment.
3. Fault finding mechanically on conveyors, monorail systems, and pneumatic equipment, replacing components like for like.
4. Fault finding electrically with a multimeter and reading electrical schematics.
5. Responsible for the site's preventative maintenance and responding to ad hoc repair requests while on shift.
The Candidate:
1. Completion of an electrical/mechanical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship or qualification.
2. Experience in fault finding electrically and mechanically.
