HFD has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Head Office team based at Strathclyde Business Park, Glasgow.

The purpose of the Accounts Assistant role is to ensure efficiency and accuracy in recording transactional details for the accounts payable and receivable functions of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Ledger - Raising ad-hoc customer invoices and credit notes.
2. Purchase Ledger - Processing supplier invoices, payments, and monthly statement reconciliations.
3. Bank Reconciliation - Ensuring all transactions are processed daily and reconciled weekly.
4. Review and maintain accurate record management.
5. Prepare accounts to trial balance stage.
6. Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
7. Administer electronic and manual bank records/mandates as required.
8. Prepare VAT returns.
9. Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
10. Reconcile and control credit card transactions.
11. Manage inter-company reconciliation and control.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Experience working in a similar role.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
3. Payroll experience is preferred but not essential.
4. Efficient work skills with good time management.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Familiarity with financial regulations.
