Unit Manager Chilton Hospital, Great Missenden
* Up to 40000 DOE
* 37.5hrs per week
* Monday-Friday occasional weekends dependent on business needs.
* This role will see you fostering relationships with the Patients on the wards and the Patient Catering Staff, to improve patient experience.
Overall Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for the management and provision of exceptional patient dining and staff feeding services, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, production and service, are consistently delivered for all patients and customers. Your role will involve managing the team, leading by example in ensuring our patient experience is always our top priority. You will ensure company contractual, operational and financial requirements are met, develop strong client relationships while working in partnership with hospital teams, and supporting continuous improvement to exceed patient, client and customer
Person Specification
1+ Years experience as manager or equivalent within a catering business
Good leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Good client relationship management skills with the ability to communicate calmly and professionally
Good financial management skills with experience in cost control
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Demonstrates good self-awareness, understands their personal strengths and limitations Ability to get to the root cause and find solutions to tough problems
Ability to communicate, help and understand others, keeping an open mind, and enjoy seeing people succeed
Key Requirements / Skills
Strong Management Experience: Proven ability managing a diverse team adhering to agreed standards and consistently delivering results
Time Management Experience: Strong ability to plan and manage time effectively, ensuring deadlines are met or exceeded
Truly passionate about delivering exceptional patient and customer experiences
Attitude: Positive can do approach with a genuine desire to make a difference Culinary Skills: Good culinary skills with the ability to coach and train team in food service delivery standards
Adaptability: Self-motivated and can 'take the heat & pressure of change' with a flexible and adaptable approach
Stakeholder Management: Good capability in managing client relationships & ability to work in partnership
Financial Acumen: Good understanding and application of cost controls and commercial awareness
Client/Customer Satisfaction: A proven track record of achieving high levels of client/customer satisfaction
IT Proficiency: Capable of using IT and computers
Adaptability: Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
