B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Aircraft Production/modification.
2. Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems.
3. Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
4. Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
5. Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
7. Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Lead Engineer.
8. Support the Lead Engineer with the day to day running of their allocated zone and deputise during periods of absence.
9. Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
10. Assist the management team in the day to day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
11. Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.
Required Qualifications:
1. Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 or B2 Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
2. Type rating on 737NG is a requirement.
