* Responsible for leading a small team developing afunctional SafetyCase
Managing the production of afunctional Safety Case to a defined schedule, reporting to a SafetyEngineering Manager
* Undertaking complex safety analysis using techniquessuch as Fault Tree analysis and Event TreeAnalysis
Producing written functionsafetyjustifications
* Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders both externaland internal to the business, typically System Engineers, HumanFactors Subject Matter Experts (SME)etc…
Your skills andexperiences:

The Product Safety team: If you are interested inunderstanding how submarines operate and how the Royal Navy operatethe submarines, then this role is for you. As a Product SafetyEngineer you will assist System Engineers in influencing submarinesystems and capability development. You will develop anunderstanding of how submarine systems work and work together andensure that the system of system interactions considers ProductSafety appropriately.
The role will provide theopportunity to be involved in all aspects of safety management andsafety case delivery.This includes safety requirements capture andmanagement, hazard identification and analysis, hazard datamanagement, application of the ALARP principle,creation/maintenance of safety documentation and continuousimprovement of the safety management system. The role provides areal opportunity to gain a broad overview of a complex system (i.e.submarine). We offer relocation support packages across allSubmarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
