ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Leader, you will be a part of the Financial Accounting team providing reporting, analysis, and statutory reporting for the UK-based businesses, holding companies, and European subsidiaries.
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including intermediate Excel, and the ability to interact with internal and external associates with ease.
Our working hours are 9am to 5pm. We offer hybrid working of Wednesday - Thursday in the office and Monday, Tuesday, and Friday working from home.
Responsibilities:
* Bank reconciliations.
* Payroll processing and preparation, along with other payroll-related costs for 3x EU-based entities (max 30 employees in each).
* Month-end processes - Payroll control account reconciliations and Payroll related Accruals & Prepayments.
* Headcount reporting and maintaining data to assist with budget and forecast.
* VAT related tasks for the respective entities.
* Assist with annual Audit requirements for respective entities.
* Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco's core competencies and learning and development framework.
* Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO ROUTECO?
* AAT level 4 (required)
* 3-5 years' experience in a similar role (payroll and accounting)
* A considered approach to problem-solving is an important role requirement.
* An ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and motivation is necessary.
* Being well-organised and reliable will be important factors in being successful in this role.
* A thorough detailed and disciplined style is vital with the ability to evaluate logical and detailed data.
* Adaptability to new challenges and changes.
* Good standard of education, GCSE English and Maths particularly A-C grade (or equivalent).
* Flexibility to working hours at peak time such as payroll or month-end.
