Toronto Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Howden in Livingston. It is part of the Inveralmond Community High School cluster. The school roll is 306, with pupils organized into eleven classes (P1-7) and a 30/30 nursery. The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, and a Principal Teacher. In addition to fifteen class teachers, there is a team of pupil support workers, an inclusion teacher, and a support for learning teacher. The school office is currently staffed by a clerical assistant.
We are seeking an individual to join the pupil support team in the school.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. The SSSC stipulates that you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with the SSSC, you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
