Job Description Purpose of the role To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models. Accountabilities Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models. Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks. Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place. Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions. Assistant Vice President Expectations Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. The Financial Crime team is integral part of Corporate - BI Technologies that delivers Business Change and Technology transformation to protect the bank, its customers, and its employees, as well as society at large, from the negative effects of Financial Crime. We act as the central hub for technical and strategic delivery for Financial Crime Business Change and Technology delivery. We manage the relationships and business demand by understanding the needs of our stakeholders in Financial Crime and across the Bank and implementing the required transformation to deliver against Barclays’ Financial Crime agenda. We are looking for dynamic Solution Architects/Designers who have been actively working and contributing to the Solution designing space in their current assignments. The candidate should be able to use this experience to build and enhance our existing system architectures and help us to keep abreast with latest Industry standards. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing and upcoming solution architecture deliveries in the Financial Crime Screening space. To be successful as a Technical Solutions Architect, you should have experience with Solution and architecture designing Cloud platform/Technologies Knowledge of DevOps Technologies Microservices API Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI and ML You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
