This is an exciting opportunity to join the maintenance team at our new asset in Nottingham as a Maintenance Technician. The team are at the heart of the development. You may be the first person the resident sees in the morning, the one they share life-changing news with, or a friendly face that they see every day after work!
The Maintenance Technician performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the internal and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the community meet standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality by performing maintenance-related tasks. Primary responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and general maintenance of apartments and other interior/exterior areas. You will be central to creating the “Native identity”.
If you’re ready to be our next Native, you’ll probably:
1. Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as routine upkeep on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
2. Support expense control programmes by fixing rather than replacing parts, when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use for tools and equipment.
3. Periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to verify the work, materials, and services meet quality standards, scope, and specifications as required.
4. Comply with Company’s safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the community’s routine safety checks and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
5. Be an efficient and organised individual with excellent communication skills and has a sensitive, professional and well-mannered nature.
6. Be able to work exceptionally well within a team dynamic and contribute to an established open culture.
7. Have the ability to follow company policies and procedures.
As well as being able to call yourself a ‘Native’, here are some of the other great benefits of working with us:
1. Company Pension Scheme provided by NEST.
2. Cycle to Work Scheme.
3. 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
4. Westfield Health Cash Plan.
5. Life Assurance.
6. Referral Scheme.
7. Paid Volunteer Time.
