Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant Location: Doncaster Salary: £83.85 - £100 per day Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, term-time only Start Date: January 2025 About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 (Key Stage 1) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Doncaster. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting children aged 5–7 to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum. Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs or EAL (English as an Additional Language). Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources to enhance learning experiences. Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher. Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development. Foster an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment where every child feels valued. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children’s learning and wellbeing. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. About You: Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly KS1 (desirable but not essential). A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent. Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and a passion for supporting children’s learning.
