MAINTENANCE PERSON
Location: Bournemouth area
Pay rate: Up to £11.45 per hour
Contract hours: 35 hours per week/ Part Time
About the Role
As a Handy Person, you'll work closely with the Regional Maintenance Manager to make sure our sites are well taken care of, prioritising jobs as you go. Ensure that all work being undertaken is done so with as little disruption as possible to children and colleagues. Working with site Managers in respect to how and when job to be carried out and advising the site manager once completed. You'll be there to support the Regional Maintenance Manager with various projects and keep an eye out for repairs and upgrades needed around the nurseries.
What does the role involve?
1. Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the nursery, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
2. Ensure outdoor play areas are safe and well-maintained.
3. Perform regular health and safety checks, reporting any issues to the Nursery Manager.
4. Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for activities and events.
5. Support with light gardening, keeping the nursery grounds neat and tidy.
6. Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner.
7. Work closely with the Nursery Manager to schedule and prioritize tasks.
