We are seeking a cook/kitchen hand to join our team at Burntisland Golf House Club. The ideal candidate must have a flexible approach to meet the club's needs and have a passion for cooking homemade hearty meals and snacks for hungry golfers and visitors to the club.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes
2. Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
3. Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance when needed
4. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
6. Create innovative menus and specials to attract diners
7. Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events
8. Maintain and manage stock and forward plan for events creating daily/weekly shopping lists for our wholesalers
Experience:
Previous catering experience is essential. Current or up-to-date health and safety/food certificates preferred.
Required Skills:
1. Previous experience working in a golf club, private members club, or restaurant
2. Proficiency in food production and preparation techniques
3. Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
4. Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively
5. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
6. Compliance with personal hygiene and requirement to wear kitchen uniform
7. Ability to remain calm and composed during busy periods
