Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deliver Functional Skills Maths and English courses, ranging from Entry Level to Level 2, informed by up-to-date curriculum knowledge and best practices. You'll be part of a dynamic team, supported by talented teachers, teaching assistants, and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver high-quality Functional Skills Maths and English lessons (Entry Level to Level 2). Foster an environment of achievement, ensuring learners meet their goals. Ensure lessons are tailored to meet the needs of all learners, using effective teaching strategies. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the overall programme. Uphold the organisation’s values, focusing on equality, diversity, safeguarding, and health & safety. Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and English, from Entry Level to GCSE. A solid understanding of the Study Programme, curriculum planning, and assessment techniques. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and their application. Familiarity with the statutory requirements of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety. Experience in adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students. Strong ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A collaborative approach to working within a team to ensure high standards of teaching. Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach learners aged 14-19.
